2024 Schoolhouse Rocks 5K, Fun Run & Festival - May 19, 2024

Join 1,500+ parents, kids, teachers, students, neighbors, runners and non-runners for the Schoolhouse Rocks 5k Run or 1 mile Fun Run. At 9:00 am on Sunday, May 19, 2024, our community will come for fun and exercise, all in support of our MPCSD schools! After the race, enjoy the Festival featuring bouncy houses, games, music, food trucks and tons of FUN! Event is rain or shine.

Regular registration prices: April 6 - May 14:

1 mile Fun Run = $50 per person (includes post-run Festival)
5K Run = $55 per person (includes post-run Festival)
Festival Only = FREE

Important Notes About Race Registration:

Online registration closes at 11:59 pm on Tuesday May 14. In-person registration will be available during packet pick-up at Fleet Feet (859 Santa Cruz Avenue) on Friday, May 17 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 18 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
There is no day-of-event registration! Please plan ahead.
To ensure the safety of all attendees, minors under the age of 11 must be accompanied on the race course by a registered adult in order to participate in the 1-mile Fun Run or 5K Race.
Please do not register your furry, four-legged family members for the event. They can participate for free! Pet registration has caused unintentional issues with the awards in past years' events.

New for 2024: Greening the Run! MPAEF is partnering with a local company, Sparkl Reusables, to provide reusable cups at the race water stops, which will be collected, washed, and then re-used. No more litter on our local streets! Additionally, festival food trucks will provide compostable containers for food and drink. Attendees can help by disposing of waste in the correct containers at the event. Together, we will reduce the environmental footprint of the Schoolhouse Rocks 5K, Fun Run & Festival!

Each year, we offer the opportunity for MPCSD families to support the event by becoming a Family Sponsor for a $500 donation to MPAEF. Family Sponsors help to underwrite the cost of the event and receive the following special benefits:

Family name on race t-shirt (if sign up by April 5th)
5 race entries ($240 value)
Delivery of race packet to your house (t-shirts & race bibs)
$25 Fleet Feet voucher for all your running and workout apparel (will be delivered with your race t-shirts & bibs)

Note: $260 of the Family Sponsorship donation is tax-deductible and you will receive a receipt via email.
