AUCTION

Each spring, the MPAEF caps off its annual fundraising efforts with a gala auction.  The success of the annual auction depends on the generous donations of valuable auction items by parents and community members, the energetic support of a huge group of volunteers, and of course, the enthusiastic bidding of a lively crowd of attendees assembled to celebrate for a good cause.

The 2007 MPAEF Auction, themed Viva Las Vegas, was a huge success as a fundraiser and community builder, bringing in over $600,000 in proceeds.

The 2008 MPAEF Auction will be held on May 17, 2008 and this year’s theme is “Step into TV Land”. We are really excited about the big changes planned for this year's event.  In a desire to keep the auction fresh and to respond to feedback from last year's event, we’ve added a number of new twists to this year’s event.  The auction, bidding and dinner formats are all new:

• Many of our terrific silent auction categories will only be available for bidding online this year. You can bid and win in this year's online silent auction whether you buy an auction ticket or not.
• At the event, we're replacing the sit-down dinner with many small plate stations.  We guarantee the food will be delicious and plentiful.  
• Lastly, the live auction will be part of a larger game show... to align nicely with our theme of "Step Into TV Land!"  Get ready to sit theater-style and cheer on your favorite contestants.
