21st CENTURY CLASSROOMS
Vision & Description
The 21st Century Classroom Project promotes the integration of technology within the instructional programs of the schools of the Menlo Park City School District. The project has engaged a cohort of teacher-pioneers to train, plan and experiment with various technologies within technologically enriched classroom environments, creating models for subsequent expansion throughout the District. The MPAEF has provided financial support for training and the purchase of necessary equipment, software and materials.
Teachers in the 21st Century Classrooms employ smart boards, laptops, digital cameras, on-line services, LCD projectors and other specialized equipment in their instructional programs. The project allows teachers to participate in extensive training in the use of technology in the classroom, curriculum design and strategies for incorporating instructional technology.
